Welcome, Carson Crawford

On Friday December 9th at 7:59 am Steve and I welcomed our son into the world.  Carson Crawford arrived healthy and hungry with a full head of mom's dark hair weighing in at 8 lbs 3 oz and 22 inches long.  He is such a sweet little guy and we are so blessed.

Addison has been such a great big sister so far.  She's been very gentle and loving toward her little brother.  I hope that they will be great friends being so close in age.

Thanksgiving Day

We made it through our first toddler thanksgiving. A hugely pregnant mommy along with an overwhelmed daddy (who was pulled in all sorts of directions) survived the day and put on a successful feast.  Of course we forgot to take ANY pictures in all of the commotion, but everyone had a great time and we had a massive amount of food.  Addison had a mini meltdown at the dinner table due to missing her afternoon nap, but we continued on and she finally settled down a bit. By 8pm Addison was bathed and in bed and all of our guests were headed home.  The last thing I remember was saying to Steve was that we should clean up the kitchen a little more.  Never happened.  We both fell asleep - me on the couch and Steve in a chair.  Needless to say, we were exhausted and headed to bed once we both woke up from our nap :)

Just think, next year we'll have two toddlers and guests at thanksgiving. WOW

Blogging the family biz

As many of you know, we have been on shutterfly sharing pictures and small tidbits of information about life with Addison and Laslo.  I recently learned that by creating a blog I can also create a yearly memory book for our kids through companies who specialize in it.  Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not a scrapbooker or even very good at keeping a baby book, so this is my way of doing it.  Obviously, I'm going to have A LOT of work to do getting all of Addison's pictures and tidbits on here from her first year, but in the end, I think it will be worth it.  I hope our family and friends back home and far away will enjoy keeping up with us.
